Our Wheat Malt is perfect for use as the main ingredient in wheat beer. It can be added in small quantities to ales or lagers to improve foam stability. It gives a full-bodied sweet taste and rounded mouthfeel to your beer. It will support the haziness that is typical for wheat or witbier.
This malt is made from a malting process similar to that for malting barley. The steeping time is slightly shorter as the wheat doesn’t contain its husk, so it absorbs water more quickly to enable germination. Germination takes place at high moisture levels for greater modification of the malt.
